School Policies
- Before School – Students should not be left unaccompanied before the door opens.
- Safety – Students will be accompanied by an adult at all times on campus: going to the office, health room, gym, specials, etc. For your child’s safety, playground equipment should only be used during school hours and students must walk on the walkways throughout campus.
- Field Trips – Students should wear their field trip shirt. Field trip forms will indicate if other items are required.
- Tardy Policy - Students must be in the classroom by 8:00am or they will be marked absent. If you are late, you must physically go to the office to correct the absence. For your convenience, students can be dropped off in the classroom first and the parent can go to the office right after. Please bring back the tardy slip to the teacher.
- Progress Reports – Progress reports will be sent home each quarter. The copy is yours to keep.
- After School – Students should be picked up at 2:15 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; Wednesdays at 1:30 pm. If your child is not picked up on time, he/she may be taken to the office to wait. If a friend or relative who is not on your child’s emergency contact list is picking up your child, you should notify the office and your teacher. For safety, that person needs to check in with the office before picking up your child.
- Playground – Students should not play on the playground during non-school hours even if supervised by a parent. The equipment is off limits for everyone’s safety.
General Preschool Policies
- Library Books – Your child will borrow a library book once a week. Your child will need to return his/her library book before another can be borrowed. Library is on Mondays.
- Physical Education – Students are required to wear covered shoes in order to participate in P.E.
- Blankets: Blankets sent from home will be sent home weekly to wash. Cots are provided in the classroom.
- Snacks –Students can bring a small (preferably healthy) snack and drink (water/juice). Students should also be able to eat the snack within the time (15 minutes). Again, no nuts please.
- Water bottles will be allowed in class.
- Attire/Extra Clothes – At least 2 pairs of extra clothing should be kept in your child’s cubby at all times. Soiled clothing will be sent home in a plastic bag and should be replaced the next school day.
- Homework – No homework is assigned in preschool. Upon request, your teacher can provide you with ideas or materials. Make up work may be sent home if your child was absent. Please return within a week.
